sculpture

Using an experimental language of form, line and color, my sculptures are drawings in space – transformations of two-dimensional ideas into three-dimensional forms and back again.  My work examines the shifting relationships between objects and their display and reframing into abstract visual systems and topographies. Using a variety of clay bodies and firing methods , I coil and pinch or assemble slabs into minimal structures.  A series of wall pieces explores the illusive space between painting and sculpture where glaze becomes landscape.
