Ceramic Table Lamps

This series of table lamps evolved from a batch of hand-built bottles with similar designs. The bottle forms gradually morphed into table lamps. Each piece is individually wheel-thrown or slab built and has a unique abstract pattern applied with clay slips and carved. Once dry the pieces are fired and glazed with a transparent glaze and fired a second time. White linen shades are custom-made to fit each lamp. Decorative shades are custom printed using patterns I carve on ceramic tiles in my studio. These are photographed and printed on fabric allowing for an endless combination of form and mark making. Custom orders are welcome. If you see something you like please contact me.
